BAIDATA members to participate in the Data Spaces Symposium 2026 in Madrid

Several members of the BAIDATA community will participate in the Data Spaces Symposium 2026, which will take place on February 10–11 in Madrid, organized by the Data Spaces Support Centre (DSSC) in collaboration with the European Commission and the Gaia-X hub in Spain. This international event is a key meeting point for discussing value creation through data sharing and the development of data ecosystems in Europe.

Among the participants is Óscar Lázaro, BAIDATA Secretary and Managing Director of Asociación Innovalia. He will take part in the session titled “From Vision to Value: Data Space Success Stories in Manufacturing & Supply Chain”, sharing experiences and best practices on the implementation of data spaces in the industrial sector.

Other BAIDATA members will also be present in different sessions of the event, including Silvia Rodríguez and Óscar Rey, from Asociación Innovalia, and Iñaki Paz, from LKS Next, contributing to discussions on innovation, data governance, and cross-sector collaboration.

The SM4RTENANCE Project, a Finalist for the European Data Spaces Awards

The DSSC will also present the European Data Spaces Awards, which recognize outstanding European initiatives that drive innovation, trust, and value creation through data sharing. Among the finalists is SM4RTENANCE, a European project in which BAIDATA participates. SM4RTENANCE aims to transform the industrial sector by creating a common data ecosystem, providing the infrastructures and services needed to improve asset management agility and predictive maintenance, with the support of the European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIH) and the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT).

Through their presence at the Data Spaces Symposium 2026, BAIDATA representatives reinforce their commitment to developing the European data ecosystem and promoting solutions that foster collaboration, innovation, and value creation in the industrial sector.
