Bizkaia welcomes Digital Week from June 23rd to 26th

From 23^rd to 26^th June 2025 Bilbao will host a series of international benchmark conferences in the field of digital technologies, with a particular focus on artificial intelligence, process automation and the economy and data spaces. We are holding a complete ‘digital week’ aimed at both public and private organisations. The events scheduled for the digital week are free of charge and bring together the Hyperautomation & AI Congress (HIA Summit), the Data Management Summit (with specific editions for the private sector and public administration) and the IV BAIDATA Forum under a unique and pioneering framework.

These initiatives have the support of Lantik, the regional public company responsible for the digital transformation of the Provincial Council of Biscay, which acts as a promoter and facilitator. Its involvement underlines the institutional commitment to technological modernisation and the promotion of a solid digital ecosystem, both in the public and private sectors.

 

In this way, June will ultimately strengthen Biscay as a pole of international reference in innovation and adoption of AI and data. The digital week offers a complete and complementary vision of the latest digital technologies and their application and impact in the public and private spheres. The agenda of the scheduled activities encourages collaboration between data and AI professionals and organisations. This week, sponsored by entities including GAIA, IDSA, DAMA, BAIDATA and the University of Mondragón, provides an ideal setting for access to high-level knowledge, the exchange of innovative experiences and the development of new business opportunities in these high-impact technological fields.

Hyperautomation & IA Congress (HIA Summit) (23^rd June)

The HIA Summit 2025 will take place on the 23^rd of June at As Fabrik (University of Mondragón, Bilbao). This conference, created as a result of the evolution of the Robotic Process Automation Summit (RPA Summit), is a reference forum for business leaders, public entities and universities, committed to digital transformation through emerging technologies such as AI, RPA and low-code. The agenda combines hyper-automation success stories, expert panels, and group dynamics to share best practices in intelligent automation. This event brings together a high-level audience of CEOs, CIOs, CTOs, and innovation managers who play a key role in strategic decision making and in the implementation of initiatives aimed at continuous improvement, process automation and organisational competitiveness.

Data Management Summit (24^th and 25^th June)

Data Management Summit (DMS) is a renowned summit in Spain and Latin America aimed at data management professionals. Its objective is to bring together data professionals to share experiences, trends, and best practices on key topics such as data governance, analytics, security, machine learning and cloud. The DMS encourages interaction and real knowledge exchange, prioritising practical learning and networking in a close and collaborative environment.

The event, promoted by the DAMA community and Synergo! is characterised by its agnostic approach and its alignment with the principles of DAMA, making it an essential meeting point for those seeking to transform their organisations through the strategic value of data.

There will be two consecutive editions of the DMS Summit in Bilbao:

(24^th June) DMS PA[1] (Public Administrations): Public administration organisations pitch their projects and success stories in data management through short presentations. In these, the main challenges and solutions implemented in the public sector are presented, encouraging debate and the exchange of experiences among the attendees. This dynamic allows for first-hand knowledge of best practices and lessons learned in digital transformation and efficient data management in the administration.

(25^th June) DMS Spain[2] (general): This is an open discussion forum for sharing experiences and use cases, considered a ‘key summit’ for professionals and decision-makers in the field of data management and analysis. The event brings together those leading the implementation of emerging technologies to meet new technological challenges, offering a unique space for the exchange of knowledge, collaborative learning, and the generation of synergies between experts in the sector.

IV BAIDATA Forum (26^th June)

The IV BAIDATA Forum, organised in collaboration with IDSA, and having established itself as a premier event in the Iberian Peninsula, will take place on June 26^th at Bilbao’s Euskalduna Palace. With an international perspective, and under the motto “data economy at scale” this forum acts as a bridge that connects pioneering European initiatives with those that are emerging in the Iberian Peninsula. This event delves into the construction of European data spaces, the development of data ecosystems and the scaling of new solutions. The BAIDATA Forum thus becomes an essential meeting point for professionals and organisations looking to exchange ideas and collaborate to be at the forefront of trends and developments in the data economy.
