Castilla-La Mancha brings together over 300 participants at a Data Economy event

More than 300 participants gathered in Albacete for the event “The Data Spaces Kit as a driver for the data economy in Castilla-La Mancha”, organised by the regional government through the Data Office, in collaboration with the General Directorate for Data of the Spanish Ministry for Digital Transformation and Public Administration. Held in a hybrid format, the event highlighted the progress of the regional data ecosystem and the role of data spaces as key enablers of innovation and economic development.

The programme showcased ongoing data space projects in Castilla-La Mancha, several of which have secured national funding, and underlined the strong link between the data economy and strategic sectors such as agri-food. The event also featured the participation of Jesús Alonso, Director of BAIDATA, reaffirming the association’s commitment to fostering data spaces and collaboration among public authorities, businesses, and ecosystem stakeholders.
