Catena-x launches Tractus-X version 23.09

September 14, 2023

DESCRIPCIÓN

The transformation of the automotive industry is in full swing. Electric vehicles are replacing combustion engines. The circular economy makes it possible to recycle resources, while digitalization creates new opportunities to meet customers' needs and to implement more environmentally friendly production processes.

The Catena-X consortium, funded by the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy's "Future Investments in the Automotive Industry" funding program, is the first collaborative open data ecosystem for the automotive industry of the future. Its members are suppliers and users of the automotive value chain and cover a wide range of company sizes, with a special focus on the integration of small and medium-sized companies.

As we already learned first-hand at the 2nd BAIDATA Forum from Ute Burkhardt (Product Owner of Catena-X Association & Industry Consortium), the automotive industry will be able to use a reliable, collaborative, open and secure data ecosystem where all actors are networked in end-to-end value chains, and all parties, on equal footing, will have sovereign control over their data, providing a sustainable solution for the digitization of supply chains, especially for SMEs, and supporting the cooperation and collaboration of market participants and competitors.

In this regard and continuing to expand and progress, Catena-X has just released Tractus-X version 23.09 which brings significant enhancements to the Catena-X operating system and its KITs in terms of robustness, data sovereignty, compliance and user experience for all participants in the data space. Here's what's new:

  • Catena-X Operating System (cxOS):

It introduces a decentralized registry for digital twins and an identity wallet based on self-sovereign identities to maximize the sovereignty of all participants in the data space. It also offers the first integration with Gaia-X Digital Clearing House (GXDCH) to foster trust and interoperability of the data space.

  • Case studies and value creation:

With six new KITs, new standards are introduced for solution and data providers to build a multi-vendor ecosystem of applications and services.

  • Enhanced data governance:

Significant advancements are introduced in the governance framework for data space operations by providing the flight-level model and new use case policies
