DESCRIPCIÓN

From the BAIDATA Association we continue presenting new initiatives to create, develop and promote data ecosystems both in Spain and Portugal. We do it, in this case, through exclusive training courses for our members. In BAIDATA Academy we offer the unique and specialized knowledge of the International Data Space Association (IDSA), regarding high quality shared and sovereign data spaces. IDSA has become, thanks to its technology and standards, one of the leading initiatives in the development of the common European space, with essential contributions in pioneering projects such as, for example, the Catena-X Automotive Network and the Smart Connected Supplier Network.

These training modules have an increasing degree of depth and are tailored to the level of specialization of the interested party. The Introduction to Data Spaces program enables students to familiarize themselves with the fundamentals and basic principles of International Data Spaces (IDS) and to apply them in relevant projects and work environments, all through practical examples and successful case studies. In addition, an Introduction to Data Anonymization module will provide a fundamental explanation of the concepts and techniques related to this methodology. Anonymization is a fundamental part of the management of data spaces, as it allows protecting privacy and complying with regulations in the handling of sensitive information. In these sessions, participants will learn about the objectives of anonymization, as well as the challenges and ethical considerations associated with this process.

The Configuration and Use of Data Spaces program is a step forward in the knowledge of IDS data spaces, as it allows participants to acquire the necessary skills to use and configure them in an individualized manner. The aim of this module is for participants to learn the practical aspects of IDS configuration so that they can start using them in their own companies and projects, as well as fostering collaboration between multiple organizations and the exchange of secure data. For the latter purpose, IDS connectors, software components that operate as basic elements in a data ecosystem, are of particular relevance and can be explored in depth in the Data Space Component Certification course. An IDS connector is a point-to-point connection between two entities: the party sending the data (with metadata describing the data and indicating the conditions of use of the data) and the party receiving the data. In this module, participants can demonstrate their competence in the development of IDS connectors that comply with established standards, giving them an advantage in the implementation of IDS solutions and increased confidence in real environments.

The IDS connector has an open source implementation under the name DataSource Connector (DCS). Another program offered by BAIDATA focuses on the operation of this connector, including its architecture, functionalities and capabilities. Participants will learn how to configure and customize the DSC to suit the specific needs of their projects and organizations, as well as integration with other IDS components and interoperability with other systems and platforms.

In addition to mastering the use and management of data spaces, organizations must also meet a series of procedures and criteria to obtain IDS certification and be able to participate effectively in a given data space, either as providers or consumers. In this sense, the Data Space Participant Certification course gives these entities the opportunity to delve into the standards, policies and best practices to ensure that they meet these requirements. The main objective is to equip participants with the necessary knowledge to guide their organizations through the IDS certification process.

At BAIDATA we will continue to incorporate new training activities and promote the transfer of specialized and valuable knowledge between companies and organizations. If you are interested in participating in any of these training activities or in future programs on data spaces, join BAIDATA and check out our training offerings here.
