DSSC releases Blueprint v3.0 and the first Maturity Assessment Report on European data spaces

DESCRIPCIÓN
The Data Spaces Support Centre (DSSC) has presented two key publications for the European data space ecosystem: the new Blueprint v3.0 and the first Maturity Assessment Report covering EU-funded initiatives.
On the one hand, the new maturity report assesses 14 European initiatives across 11 sectors, evaluating their business capabilities, governance and legal frameworks, technical development, and operational readiness. Among the main findings are significant progress in use case development — with several already operational — the gradual formalisation of governance structures and contractual frameworks, and notable technical advances, particularly in metadata management and discovery mechanisms. Trust-enabling capabilities, such as identity management and policy enforcement, are still at earlier stages of development.
On the other hand, Blueprint v3.0 consolidates the reference framework for designing and deploying data spaces in Europe, incorporating all required capabilities, design choices, recommended standards, and best practices. This new version expands business and governance building blocks, integrates technical standards for interoperability and trust, and aligns with the latest regulatory developments, including compliance with the EU Data Act.
Both documents reinforce the DSSC’s role as a strategic and operational guide to advancing a secure, interoperable, and sovereign data economy in Europe.
