Innovation Lab, experimentation spaces. We map the future of mobility and logistics.

March 13, 2025

DESCRIPTION

The Mobility LAB Vitoria-Gasteiz Foundation, promoted by the Provincial Council of Álava and the Vitoria-Gasteiz City Council, is organizing a technical conference aimed at professionals in the technology and logistics sectors to introduce the Innovation Lab initiative. This project comprises eight experimentation spaces designed for testing innovative solutions in areas such as smart public transport, autonomous and connected vehicles, last-mile distribution, intermodal logistics, drones, high-capacity roads, road safety, and micromobility.

Under the title "Innovation Lab: Experimentation Spaces. Shaping the Future of Mobility and Logistics", the event will take place on Thursday, March 13, at the Europa Conference Center, from 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM. The session will provide insights into the structure and objectives of these experimentation spaces, as well as the opportunities they offer for developing and validating innovative solutions.

The event will include a collaborative dialogue session to identify key challenges and opportunities within the different experimentation areas. Through this interactive approach, participants will be able to share knowledge and experiences to help prioritize concrete use cases and key scenarios for testing new solutions.

The conference will be inaugurated by Ramiro González Vicente, General Deputy of Álava, Maider Etxebarria García, Mayor of Vitoria-Gasteiz, and Iñigo Bilbao Ubillos, Director of the Mobility Lab Foundation. Additionally, the event will feature three discussion panels focusing on:

  • Intermodal logistics and last-mile distribution
  • Connected and autonomous vehicles, high-capacity roads, and drones
  • Smart public transport, active mobility, micromobility, road safety, and accessibility

To foster networking and encourage synergies among participants, a coffee break will be provided, allowing for further exchange of ideas.

Those interested in attending can register by filling out the form and selecting the discussion panel they would like to participate in.
