January 23, 2026

DESCRIPCIÓN

The European Commission and the Europeana Foundation have published the 2025–2030 Strategy for the Common European Data Space for Cultural Heritage, a key document that defines the roadmap for this data space in the coming years. Developed through an extensive consultation process carried out in 2024 and 2025, the Strategy sets out a shared vision to consolidate a trustworthy, interoperable and inclusive data space, aligned with European priorities on data, artificial intelligence and digital transformation.

The document outlines three strategic priorities: strengthening a robust and interoperable infrastructure with solid governance; expanding access to and reuse of data to foster innovation and new use cases; and accelerating the digital transformation of the cultural heritage sector through technologies such as artificial intelligence, 3D and extended reality. Through these priorities, the Strategy aims to drive value creation, support Member States and position Europe as a reference in the responsible and competitive use of cultural data by 2030.
