The plan for the Promotion of Sectorial Data Spaces receives more than 280 applications

February 18, 2025

DESCRIPCIÓN

The Ministry for Digital Processing and Civil Service has published the summary of the applications submitted to the two calls for proposals that ended recently. A total of 281 proposals and 168 million euros in grants requested demonstrate the great interest that exists among national technology companies to join the data economy.

157 of these applications correspond to the call for Data Space Products and Services, for which a total of 61 million euros have been requested. Almost 90% of the applicants have been private companies, although there is a great variety in terms of economic sectors. Those that have accumulated the most applications are the mobility and sustainable transport sector (19), health (17) and agri-food (16). In this link you can consult the complete summary.

On the other hand, the second call for demonstrators and use cases of Data Spaces has received 124 applications, mostly from private companies but with an important presence of public research organizations (30% of the total). In this link you can consult the complete summary.

From BAIDATA we are closely following the resolution of these calls and we will continue to support and contribute to those that are approved. In addition, if you are a BAIDATA member, we remind you that you can access our Voucher program, which is a great opportunity to start developing use cases even before this call is resolved.
