These are the finalists for the European Data Spaces Awards

The European Data Spaces Awards 2025 have selected three finalists in each of their two categories, recognizing their outstanding contributions to advancing data sharing initiatives across Europe. In the category “Excellence in End-User Engagement and Financial Viability”, the finalists are: Catena-X, a collaborative ecosystem for the automotive industry that connects companies across the value chain; data.gouv.fr, a shared data space covering sectors such as environment, mobility, education, health, culture, and the economy; and DjustConnect, an agri-food data space enabling secure and efficient data exchange, ensuring transparency and full ownership for farmers.
In the category “Most Innovative Emerging Data Space”, the finalists are: European Tourism Data Space, designed to create synergies across tourism, mobility, smart cities, Green Deal, media, skills, and cultural heritage; SM4RTENANCE, an industrial project enabling data sharing across the complete lifecycle of Industry 4.0 assets; and sphin-X, an initiative bringing together pharma, medtech, research, and IT stakeholders to make health data discoverable, accessible, and usable. The selection was carried out by a panel of 16 volunteer experts, and the winners will be announced during the official awards ceremony on 10 February 2026, as part of the Data Space Symposium in Madrid.
