DESCRIPCIÓN

'The Next Data Frontier' study, published by the Publications Office of the European Union, is now available and provides key insights supporting the European Strategy for Data. The research focuses on three core areas: mapping data needs for innovation and the role of synthetic data; analysing automated data reporting mechanisms for regulatory compliance; and examining the international dimension of the European data economy.

Within this framework, Task 3, delivered by CARSA, a member of the BAIDATA community, explores how Europe’s data markets connect with global value chains. The study highlights opportunities and challenges related to international data flows, partnerships, and regulation, underlining Europe’s potential to strengthen its digital sovereignty while fostering global cooperation on data governance, innovation, and trusted data exchange.
