The first professionals in Data Spaces are certified in Bilbao

Bilbao is at the forefront of the data economy. During this month, the first certificates of the DSPQP programme have been delivered, accrediting the first professionals specialised in Data Spaces. This milestone marks the beginning of a new era in the development of digital talent in the region and lays the foundations for the expansion of this programme nationally and internationally.

The Data Space Professional Qualification Program (DSPQP) has reached an important milestone with the issuance of the first certificates in Bilbao to a group of professionals trained by SQS, the programme's authorised training centre. This achievement marks the beginning of a new stage in the development of the programme and lays the foundations for its expansion at national and international level.

This professional certification, the result of collaboration between BAIDATA and the International Data Spaces Association (IDSA), provides professionals with the tools and knowledge necessary to operate in an increasingly digitised and data-driven environment. The new professional certificates of the DSPQP programme are internationally recognised by IDSA, accrediting highly sought-after skills and abilities and opening the door to a wealth of career opportunities.

For companies, having DSPQP certified professionals means having highly trained teams ready to face the challenges of the future. In addition, certification can contribute to improving the efficiency, innovation and competitiveness of organisations.

During 2025, the incorporation of new profiles such as Data Space Business Consultant and Data Space Technical Consultant is foreseen, which will complement the current Data Space Fundamentals profile. In addition, in order to respond to the growing demand for training in this area, a call will soon be opened to authorise new training centres to provide the courses that accompany professionals in obtaining the certifications. This initiative will enable the training offer to be expanded and will facilitate access to certification for a greater number of professionals.
