The Industrial Digital Twin Association (IDTA) has published a new technical specification to help companies implement future Digital Product Passports (DPPs), digital records that provide access to relevant product information.

The document explains how to structure passport metadata using the Asset Administration Shell (AAS), a standard that enables product information to be organised in a structured and interoperable way. This is the first part of a series of specifications designed to facilitate consistent implementation of digital passports and improve interoperability between companies.
