Frankfurt AI Forum
WAN-IFRA, in collaboration with its new community ‘AI in Media,’ is launching a fresh addition to its global AI forum series: the Frankfurt AI Forum. This event is dedicated to exploring artificial intelligence’s impact on the media industry, with a particular focus on the DACH region (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland) and other German-speaking areas, such as Luxembourg. However, media professionals from around the world are more than welcome to participate.
The forum will take place at the FAZ Tower, the headquarters of Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, in Frankfurt’s Europaviertel district. With the guidance of WAN-IFRA’s AI expert Ezra Eeman, the event will feature discussions in both German and English, with dedicated roundtables in German and translation services available for non-German speakers.
What to Expect at the Frankfurt AI Forum
The event will dive into AI’s transformative role in content creation, distribution, audience engagement, and newsroom operations. Attendees will have the chance to engage in thought-provoking discussions and gain insights from pioneering AI-driven projects. A key highlight will be the unveiling of initial findings and prototypes from the Newsroom AI Catalyst program, a collaboration between WAN-IFRA and OpenAI. By the end of March, 32 prototypes from European publishers will have been developed, offering a wealth of firsthand experience in the rapidly evolving AI landscape.
Key Topics on the Agenda
