Bilbao will host the Health Data Forum Global Hybrid Summit 2026 on 24 and 25 September, an international summit focused on putting the European Health Data Space (EHDS) into practice within healthcare systems.

The event will bring together representatives from the European Commission, the OECD, Health Data Hub France, NICE and the Basque Government, amongst others, to address data governance, interoperability in genomics and medical imaging, and the responsible use of artificial intelligence in healthcare.

The Basque Country provides a benchmark context thanks to initiatives such as OSAGEN, making Bilbao an ideal venue for linking policy, infrastructure and real-world healthcare practice.
