November 3

The Digital Product Passport (DPP) is a new element of manufacturing operations. It will be a mandatory component for individual products, providing comprehensive, online-accessible information based on data gathered throughout the product’s entire lifecycle. EU regulations require it starting with batteries from February 18, 2027, and it will then be introduced gradually for other product groups, including tires, steel, aluminum, textiles, electrical and electronic equipment, construction materials, and toys.

Its imminent implementation calls for urgent preparation by companies. This conference, part of the International Industrial Conference at Warsaw Industry Week 2026, aims to raise awareness of the topic, outline the regulatory framework, showcase implementation best practices from other countries, and provide guidance on integrating the DPP into daily business practice. Beyond a regulatory obligation, the passport is also an opportunity to enhance product value.

What will be covered

✔️ The DPP in the context of European requirements and from a public administration perspective
✔️ Standardization and technical foundations, including the role of GS1 standards
✔️ Data spaces and international industrial data ecosystems, such as Manufacturing-X
✔️ AI as an intelligent layer of the passport: diagnostics, predictive maintenance, and repair, reuse and recycling options
✔️ A live demonstration of a working DPP, from the physical product and its identification to a digital passport ready to be scanned

Speakers

Speakers include representatives of the Silesian University of Technology, Poland’s Ministry of Economic Development and Technology, the International Manufacturing-X Council, GS1, the Polish Committee for Standardization, the Poznań Supercomputing and Networking Center (PSNC), and EXPLITIA.
