The University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM) and the regional government have unveiled the Institutional Chair in Data Intelligence, an initiative to promote training, research, and knowledge transfer regarding the strategic and responsible use of data.
The event, held at the UCLM campus in Ciudad Real, was attended by BAIDATA Director Jesús Alonso, along with representatives from academia, government, and the business sector. The chair is part of the Castilla-La Mancha Strategic Data Plan 2026–2030, and the first calls for proposals associated with this new plan have already been announced. Among these is a grant program for research or innovation projects lasting nine months, with a maximum funding of 10,000 euros per initiative. At BAIDATA, we remain committed to driving institutional initiatives that promote the data economy, thereby reinforcing the success of public-private partnerships in the sector.
