Rinn Artificial Intelligence and the Fraunhofer FIT and Fraunhofer ISST institutes have joined forces to launch the Next Generation Dataspaces Initiative (NGDI), an initiative announced at the European Big Data Value Forum 2026 to connect European sectoral dataspaces and facilitate the secure exchange of information among organizations and sectors at the EU level.

The project aims to integrate agent-based artificial intelligence into data spaces, combining language models and knowledge graphs to automate processes and facilitate the exchange of trusted data without compromising sovereignty or control. The initiative also seeks to translate research advances into practical and commercial applications that generate value for industry and society.
