Data in Action | From the challenge of fragmentation to the value of data in the social and healthcare sector
Data management in the social and healthcare sectors faces a key challenge: the fragmentation of information across systems, organisations and levels of care. This situation is particularly critical in highly vulnerable contexts, where factors such as economic vulnerability, chronic conditions, unwanted loneliness and the effects of climate change converge, increasing risks such as dehydration or problems with thermoregulation.
Overcoming this fragmentation is essential to moving towards more integrated, preventive and person-centred care. In this context, data spaces enable the ecosystem to be connected, integrating health and social information alongside data from other sources (such as climate or mobility) to generate a 360-degree view that facilitates decision-making, service development and the improvement of public policies, whilst ensuring data sovereignty, controlled access and traceability.
In this webinar, Bilbomática presents its experience with the EDAISS project (Data Space for Integrated Social and Healthcare), an initiative that promotes the secure and interoperable integration of data to turn it into a strategic asset. Through this approach, high-impact use cases are addressed, valuable insights are generated, and governance models are established in line with existing regulatory frameworks and standards.
