IDSA explores the relationship between AI and data spaces
IDSA has published a new position paper, “Data Spaces and AI: Trustworthy Agentic Participation in Data Spaces”, which analyses the two-way relationship between data spaces and artificial intelligence.
The report highlights that, on the one hand, data spaces contribute to AI by providing governance, traceability and verifiable usage policies; whilst, on the other hand, AI reduces the cost of scaling these spaces by automating tasks such as metadata creation or the translation of legal terms into machine-readable policies.
The study, carried out by Fujitsu and the Fraunhofer ISST, also presents three models of cooperation between artificial intelligence agents and data spaces – models that have already been implemented in pilot projects in Japan and Germany.
